About Adrienne

Adrienne Sullivan is a mom to three children attending school in KISD.   Her youngest attends Liberty Elementary, and two attend Keller Middle School.  Adrienne grew up in a family of educators – her mom was a 3rd grade teacher, her grandmother taught Kindergarten, and her dad served a term on the local School Board.  Public education is something that is near and dear to her heart;  she values public education for all students - so much so that she determined the time is right to run for KISD School Board of Trustees, Place 6.

Adrienne has been involved with the KISD district since her children began elementary school.  She was a member of the PTA boards at Liberty, Bear Creek Intermediate, and Keller Middle School.  Adrienne founded Keller Partnership for Inclusive Education (KPIE) when her oldest daughter was going into 3rd grade to collaborate with the district to improve Special Education services.

Adrienne served on the Board of Directors for the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas for many years, serving one term as Vice-President, as well as Communications and Chair of the Step Up For Down Syndrome Walk and Fundraising event.  Adrienne has also been a member of the ARC of DFW Area and the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.  Disability advocacy became of great interest upon receiving the diagnosis that her oldest daughter would be born with Down syndrome.

Adrienne has been employed for over 17 years at Bell where she works as a Human Factors and Crew Station Design Engineer.  Her days consist of being a liaison between pilots and engineers; she thrives on the challenge and enjoys collaborating with her co-workers.  She also served as the Co-Chair for the Bell Employee Resource Group (ERG) Champions for Disabilities (C4D).

Given the district's happenings and her frustration at repetitively seeing issues and ideas taken to the board for public comment and go unheard, Adrienne decided that it was the right time and place to run for KISD Board of Trustees, Place 6—and she sincerely hopes that you will get out and vote for her!
